The short answer

Choose RentWeave if your expensive mistakes happen between the shelf and the van, and the monthly bill matters. Choose Goodshuffle Pro if the sale runs through polished client proposals and you want an established vendor behind it.

Which one should you pick?

You run an event or party rental company, you have outgrown the spreadsheet, and the monthly cost of a full platform is a real line in a small budget.

Choose RentWeave if

  • Double-bookings and the wash days between jobs are what cost you
  • Returns should be counted good, damaged and missing, never assumed back
  • Warehouse staff should count stock without being able to change it
  • You want one published price per company, not per person

Choose Goodshuffle Pro if

  • Client proposals with e-signatures and payment collection are the centre of your sale
  • You want a deep CRM and sales pipeline
  • A vendor with a large support team and years of track record matters most

What RentWeave does differently

Built around the return.

Stock leaves, comes back in a condition somebody records, and has to be ready before the next booking wants it. Everything here follows from that.

  1. Availability that knows about the wash

Every item carries its own prep and cleaning days, and availability subtracts them. Linen collected on Sunday with two days of turnaround is not offered for Monday just because the booking technically ended. The number you quote from is the number you can actually load.

  2. A check-in that has to reconcile

Returning stock is the only moment the truth about your inventory changes, so it is a full workflow rather than an edit screen. You record what came back, what came back broken and what did not come back, and the three reconcile against what went out. Count forty-two against forty and it says so, because somebody has counted a pile twice.

  3. Damaged and missing are separate pools

Damaged stock is here and out of service. Missing stock is unaccounted for and often turns up in the wrong crate at the next event. Both come off availability, both stay on the record, and neither is a note in a comment field — so “how many do I own” and “how many can I promise in June” stay two answerable questions.

  4. The floor observes, the office decides

Roles are assembled from individual permissions rather than picked from a list of three. Warehouse staff can move units between pools, fix a storage position and submit a stock count without ever being able to change what the company owns — and cost prices are visible only to the roles you hand that permission to.

In fairness

Where Goodshuffle Pro is the better answer

If you need a polished client-facing proposal flow with e-signatures and payment collection built around it, a deep CRM and sales pipeline, or a vendor with a support team and years of track record behind them, Goodshuffle Pro is the more established product and you should buy it. We are newer, smaller and cheaper, and those three things travel together.

Moving from Goodshuffle Pro: questions

Can I move my inventory across?

Yes, and it is usually quicker than people expect because stock is held as bulk quantities rather than asset records — forty chairs are one row with a count of forty. Your data stays yours: it is an ordinary database and nothing about the way it is stored is designed to make leaving difficult.

Do you handle quotes and invoices, or just the stock?

Both. A booking's lines become a draft quote, a quote becomes an invoice, payments record against it, and a receipt is issued automatically for every posted payment — part-payments included. Damaged items can be charged at their replacement price on the same document.

How long does it take to see whether it fits?

Load one category of stock and one real booking. That is enough to see how availability, load-out and check-in behave, and it takes about twenty minutes. The trial runs at the top tier so nothing is hidden behind a plan you have not chosen.

Try it against your own stock.

Load one category and one real booking. That is enough to tell whether it fits, and the trial gives you 14 days to find out.

  • No card needed
  • Nothing charged when the trial ends
  • Read-only, never deleted
